GQ: gregory qaiyum

GQ was born and raised in Chicago. Feeling that the arts were his path, he went to New York City where he studied Experimental Theater at Tisch School of the Arts (NYU). It was there that he created his independent school project known as The Bomb-itty of Errors, which ran Off-Broadway in New York, and has since toured the United States and a good part of Europe, winning awards along the way.

After The Bomb-itty, G moved to L.A., where he and his boys (including his little brother J) created, wrote, and starred in a musical-comedy show for MTV called, Scratch and Burn.

In a relatively short time, G has shot studio films such as, Drumline, Taxi, and What's the Worst That Could Happen? He played DJ Random in Jonny Zero on Fox, with John Wells and Warner Brothers producing. GQ appeared as a guest on Boston Public for an episode featuring an underprivileged student who raps about Shakespeare, for which G wrote his own rhymes, naturally.

One of GQ's proudest accomplishments is the film, Just Another Story. Having written it during trailer time while in production on other projects, he found himself directing and starring in it not too long after, and then on the big screen at Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film Festival, with Showtime, Hart-Sharp Ent., and his own company, Q-Brothers Productions, all producing. Just Another Story had a long run on Showtime, and is rentable everywhere.

GQ's latest role is as a U.S. naval pilot, supporting Christian Bale in Werner Herzog's Rescue Dawn.

GQ is also a rapper, and along with his brother JQ, the Q Brothers have created The Feel Good Album Of The Year.
